PATIENT EXPERIENCE

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST VISIT

When you phone or drop in, you’ll speak to Amanda, our wonderful manager. Feel free to have a good long chat to her about your concerns as she will communicate to our caring dentists Dr Sherry, Dr  Yasmita, Dr Gen and Dr Sally what you need when you’re in for your appointment.

Your first appointment is always an extended consult so you have time to ask any questions. You will never leave Gentle Dental feeling rushed out the door.

SLEEP AKA SEDATION DENTISTRY

Our gentle dentists are experts in dealing with those who are extremely nervous. Gentle Dental now has the facilities to offer IV sedation to assist you to get your dental work done. IV sedation is also known as sleep or sedation dentistry, because you’re conscious but don’t remember the procedure. It is a great option for people who have a lot of work that needs to be done and want to get it all done in one session, without having to be aware of the procedure!

Dr Sally is also able to provide treatment with nitrous oxide on Mondays or Thursdays

MEDICAL HISTORY FORM PDF

Adobe_PDF_file_icon_32x32Feel free to print out and bring in our medical history form, otherwise we will provide you one to fill out on the day of your appointment. If you have an extensive medical history and medication list, please provide us with that as well. The more information we have about you, the better!

We have a TV on the ceiling with streaming services. Feel free to request whether you would like to watch a TV series, movie or prefer to listen to music.

After every scale and clean, we love to provide our patient’s with goodie bags with products that help maintain good oral hygiene!

FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS

Gentle Dental genuinely cares about how you’re doing so any post operational review is done at no charge. Also, if you have any problems with your fillings or other dental work, we make sure you are not out of pocket when it comes to repairing or replacing products.

YOUR CHILD’S FIRST DENTAL VISIT

The ADA recommends a child’s first visit before 12 months or when they get their first tooth. At this age it’s more about creating a “dental exposure” and for the parents to discuss with our Gentle Dentists any concerns they have. We find that 18 months is when a child is aware enough to enjoy their dental visit, we make it super fun with the TV, stickers or a toy to take home!

Dr Sherry, Gen and Sally are all Mums so we know all the tricks and really get it! Dr Yasmita is young so still has that pre parent energy and patience for kids in the dental chair.
